Obituary for Shelley Delise Howell Gladu Nava
Graveside services for Shelley Delise Howell Gladu Nava, 43, of Roswell will be held at 11 am Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, at South Park Cemetery with pastor Don Johnson officiating. Shelley passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Shelley was born to Douglas Lloyd Howell and Patricia Ellen Brown Howell in Lovington, NM. She moved to Roswell twenty-six years ago. Shelley was a member of Bykota Baptist Church for over seventeen years, was a hairdresser at the J.C. Penney Salon, a Director of the Roswell Outreach Center, and kept children in her home.
Shelley is survived by her children, Daniel Gladu and his wife, Sabrina, of Roswell, Delisha Nava of Roswell, Jason Nava of California, and Chris Nava of Las Cruces, NM, David Gladu and his wife, Christy, of Ardmore, OK; two granddaughters, Elaina Patrice Gladu and Bailey Nichole Gladu; one grandson, Joseph Gladu; father, Douglas L. Howell of Roswell; sister, Stacey Len Howell of Roswell; step-brother, Brandon Conley of Roswell; and her good friend, George Gladu of Chicago, Illinois.
Shelley was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Howell.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Gladu, Brandon Conley, George Gladu, David Gladu, Chris Nava and Kerry Wood.
Shelley asked before her death that NO ONE wear BLACK or DARK CLOTHING to her service that it is a celebration of her life.
